How to Fire a Senior Leader – WIP #44

“If there’s any doubt, there’s no doubt.”

I just love that quote because when you know it’s not the right fit, the kindest and most empathetic thing you can do is let them go, the right way. The sooner the better.

When you know it’s time to let someone go…

✅ Be decisive.

✅ Getting fired SUCKS. So do it with kindness and empathy.

✅ Be generous. Your reputation is on the line. And if you believe in karma, hopefully you’ll be rewarded by not being a jerk about it.

✅ Help that person find new employment.
